The Weather Channel iPad

The Weather Channel iPad application is a great app for when you need weather information or updates, if you want to travel around the country or you are simply interested in what the day will be like. As we have been used to by all other iPad applications, the Weather Channel has a clean, user-friendly interface and easy to navigate menu. You will be greeted by a small menu bar at the bottom of the screen, with several buttons, the first of which is, of course, maps. The The Weather Channel iPad application is a data intensive app, which communicates with numerous servers.

The maps view will take you to a very interesting radar screen, which displays many useful details. There are several overlays for you to choose from, such as radar, clouds, radar and clouds, temperature, UV index, twenty-four hours rain or twenty-four hours snow. You can choose any of these, according to what you are interested in and, on the bottom of the display, you will find a legend that explains what the different shades and colors stand for. You can also check the last date and time that the map was updated. And another pretty known, but helpful features that you can choose the transparency of the overlay. Any of them allows you to add or zoom in on specific locations that may interest you.

With the Weather Channel iPad application you have a lot of options to play around with. The top menu bar shows your current location and from there you can opt to see the local conditions. The Weather Channel has this interactive content display, which will show you the local weather conditions over a certain period of time. The good part is that the upper bar stays with you while you browse through the application, so that you can easily and fast change the location or go to the bookmark locations. On the bottom of the screen you have several shortcuts to the other displays, such as the radar overlay or updates that might interest you.

Apart from the maps and local tabs, at the bottom of the main menu you will find a severe tab, which can show you if there are any national weather alerts for your location. There is also a on-TV tab that presents you with weather news from around the country. So overall, the Weather Channel iPad application is extremely helpful and will most certainly provide you with valuable, accurate information about the weather.
