The Rhythm Studio App for iPad is what you might call an “old school” hardware setup for your iPad, though it practically works on every iOS device. It is very similar to TableTop in the sense of you only having to double tap on the instrument you want to use and the application will zoom in and provide you a full screen working mode. After having finished with the specific instrument, you can choose to pinch in order to zoom out or just scroll and the Rhythm Studio App for iPad will enable a full overview of the hardware setup.

The Rhythm Studio iPad app has several components that make it such a neat application, among which a TB-303, an 808, a mixer, dual effects and a sampler style synth (ST-1). The app is a smart reflection of the old school hardware by having its users manually program all synths and drum parts.

Rhythm Studio App for iPad isn’t exactly the most easiest application in the App Store, but it comes with an extensive instruction manual on the developers’ website. The program also comes with numerous options for effects, such as Send FX, Delay, Flanger, Chorus, Distortion or Low Pass and High Pass Filter.

All in all, using Rhythm Studio App for iPad is really entertaining and the effects sound very good. Plus, it costs a dollar!
